I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Middlesex Federation of Women's Institutes. I would like to tell you something about us. We have 31 WI's around Middlesex, some of which date back to 1919. Although we are a largely urban area many of our WI's are situated in the old villages of Middlesex and retain some of their rural charm. Each WI has it's own 'personality' and there are many activities to choose from, such as craft classes, drama and choirs and coach outings to name but a few. Each WI has a programme of interesting speakers and there are Federation events throughout the year. We would very much like to hear from you as we have a range of day and evening meetings and cover most of the area from Shepperton in the south to Enfield in the north. Our most easterly WI is that of Chiswick and the most westerly that of Iver. If we cannot find an Institute which is at the right time and place for you, perhaps you and your friends could help us to form one!
